The Lunzer Wine Investments Bordeaux Experience explores the 'Route des Grands Crus' and samples some of the exquisite wines of Margaux, Pauillac and the St. Emilion regions. Visit Chateau Margaux, Chateau Pichon-Longueville, Chateau Angelus and Chateau Cheval Blanc and let Peter Lunzer 'unlock doors' that remain beyond the reach of most individuals exploring Bordeaux.

A trip like this with Peter is great fun for anybody with more than a passing interest in wine, and especially valuable for those thinking of seriously investing in investment grade Bordeaux as an asset class. For many, these two night visits have become a virtual 'Wine Academy', staying in the heart of Bordeaux, drinking the finest wines with the attraction of top class gastronomic experiences in some of the region's best restaurants.

The trips are all inclusive (taxis, tours, tastings, food and hotel) with the exception of your flights which we are happy to arrange for you.

Fine wines and gorgeous places to eat and sleep

Peter Lunzer's knowledge and experience of Bordeaux shows through with the supporting choices of hotel and restaurants that make your experience unforgettable.

Superb 5 Star hotel - The Regent Grand, Bordeaux

The 5 Star Regent Grand Hotel is located opposite the Opéra National de Bordeaux in the centre of the town. The hotel has reclaimed its place as the most majestic hotel in the City following its comprehensive restoration which pays homage to its colourful history while offering a level of luxury and elegance never before experienced. Guests of the hotel can indulge in the spa or stroll among the luxury boutiques in the shopping arcade - Fashion Avenue - located just beside the hotel. Truly a world-class facility, www.theregentbordeaux.com.

Local Gastronomic Restaurants

The restaurants we visit are chosen for their size, location, character, ambience and most importantly the food and wine. For instance Chez Duberne is just a stroll away from the hotel offering beautifully prepared food in a classic modern French style. www.philippe-chez-dubern.com.

L’Envers du Décor, a beautiful rustic restaurant specialising in wines by the glass since 1987, is a short drive away in St Emilion. It has been awarded a Grand Prix by the wine press for "the Best Wine List in France". Excellent cuisine based on fresh local ingredients. The menus and à la carte choices change every day and 'le patron' offers great advice on wine and food matches; that's if we need it.

Set up in 1825, Le Chapon Fin is one of the first restaurants ever to receive three Michelin stars (in 1933 it was one of only 33 restaurants to receive this prestigious award). The restaurant had a renaissance in 2003, with the arrival of Nicolas Frion. Star pupil of Boyer and Bocuse, this young chef assisted Thierry Marx for five years at Cordeillan Bages before taking over the restaurant. www.chapon-fin.com.

Expert knowledge, unrivalled experience in wine investments

While markets around the world have deteriorated in recent turbulent conditions, wine is still far less volatile an investment than stocks and shares.

That said, it is a complex market, and successful investment requires the skills of an acknowledged expert and experienced stock picker. And there are few people as experienced in the field as Peter Lunzer.

Lunzer Wine Investments was conceived as 'a complete wine experience wrapped around an investment fund', and benefits from Peter's outstanding and unique track record in this sector. As well as having spent his life in the wine business, Peter has an enviable record as a stock picker and fund manager. He developed The Wine Price Ratio, based on a proven investment approach, designed to secure good returns for investors.

Alternative investments are becoming accepted as a necessary part of portfolio diversification and Wines of Bordeaux are an ideal choice because they not only sell at high prices but prices rise as the wines mature.
